Training

Martham Lodge has its own training room, which can accommodate up to 16 people.

The training room has facilities to offer power-point presentations, with laptop, projector & screen, there is  access to a staff room with facilities for refreshments and a WC, there is a designated area for smoking, we have no disabled access as it is situated on the first floor.

Martham Lodge has three members of staff who deliver training:

*       Claire Bellas – Moving and Handling.
*      Maria Panse / Tracey Frost- First Aid.
*      Sharon Huxtable – M.U.S.T (nutrition).

The training can be delivered at Martham Lodge or your place of work.

Prices:

*      First Aid           -6 hours  £250 (up to 8 people) or £35 pp
*      First Aid refresher – 2 hours £150 (up to 8 people) or £25 pp
*      Moving & Handling   – 6 hours £250 (up to 8 people) or £35 pp

M.U.S.T (nutrition)   – 2 hours £150 (up to 8 people) or £25pp

We also have ongoing training sessions which are run by Linda Farman (M.A.C.Q.S.W;P.T.Award), Linda has her own training company called ‘Quality Training’, she has worked for many years as a social worker, and now provides teaching services for both the UEA and the Open University. Linda lectures at Norwich City College on the S.W degree programme, she also works as an assessor for NVQs and RMAs.

Examples of previous training sessions include:

*           Dementia Awareness
*          Care plans and recording skills.
*           P.O.V.A.
*          Communication skills.
*          Management and leadership skills.
*          Mental capacity

The 2011 training schedule is now complete but we will be looking to compile another later in the year, this will be posted on the website shortly.
